Quick Bits š¤ #028

Dear Reader,
Another doozy of a month has come and gone, with nary a thing to show for it. I have not accomplished any of the things I would like to, but I have kept my children fed and cared for (even when theyād rather I not), the animals are happy to be out in the grass again, and weāve managed to wrap up a chaotic school year. Yesterday, was the LAST day (PRAISE JESUS!).
Iāve always abide by the idea of holding all things loosely, and for the most part Iāve been able to roll with the punches in these recent years of motherhood. These last few months I have struggled to hold things loosely. One because the āthingsā are becoming more serious (life changing decisions of teens) and two, I think, in part because I know the time left is becoming increasingly limited. I often find myself having to remind myself that Godās got them, even when Iām white knuckling the āOh shitā bar (sometimes literally).
Until we meet again: Go with God!
Jessica

We spent this last week on a lake in the Adirondacks. Itās been less than ideal. When we planned this trip, I had completely forgotten about our oldest having regents exams. Also, when we planned the trip, the youngest was OK with missing his last week of school, then realized it was his LAST week of elementary school which included a lot of fun things and his moving up ceremony. So every day this week I have driven 4 hours to or from the lake. Also, my mom broke her ankle on the second day. š¤¦š»āāļø
Summer is upon us. Maybe. We had a few days of warm and sun, then reverted back to cool and rain. Weāll see how the next few weeks trend. My girls and I are all working at our town pool in some capacity, our bank accounts would appreciate a warm, sunny summer.
Finishing this months Quick Bits off with something a bit different: Underwear! Weird, I know. For years, nearly two decades, I have worn Fruit of the Loom Low Rise Briefs, but then I got older and wider (and wiser), and they just were not cutting it for me. I wanted cotton underwear, almost everything mainstream is a polyblend, and I wanted a better fit.
I tried several brands, including Branwyn and WoolX, both super expensive, high-quality wool underwear: Nothing worked. I figured Iād risk Evry (they have a very strict return policyā¦nearly nonexistent), and they were GREAT!
I now have 6 pairs for everyday, and at $27 for a two pack theyāre cheaper than most department store or other brands. So if youāre in the market for new underwear thatās all cotton, maybe give Evry a try. (Disclaimer: This is my unasked for opinion, they donāt even have a referral or ambassador program).
What are you looking forward to this Summer?

š§ Absolutely nothing. This is becoming a problem and honestly something I might need to write about.
šŗ I still have not started āThe Other Bennet Sisterā or the new āCount of Monte Cristoā. We are two episodes into Season 5 of Clarksonās Farm.
