“That is one good thing about this world...there are always sure to be more springs.” ― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea

Dear Reader,
The clocks have officially changed and Spring has officially sprung! Despite the mornings with a fresh dusting of snow, the world is a bit greener and the bulbs are starting to poke through. Resurrection day is quickly approaching!
Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.”―C.S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Until we meet again: Go with God!
Jessica

Quick Bits 💌 #025
I was supposed to be in Colorado Springs this past week. Well, I guess supposed isn’t the right word. I was scheduled to be in CS this past week. Through a series of events the entire thing fell through at the absolute very last minute: I was sitting on the plane, for the SECOND time after they had already deplaned us once, reloaded, taxied around the runway for an hour, and headed back to the gate for the second time. In that moment, I did something I have only every done once before in my life: Put the full stop on a massive moment and said “I want to go home.” And I did.
I’m right where I needed to be. I was struggling a bit with my decision; you know, the whole “Act in haste, repent in leisure” thought process. As of Monday night, it was made very clear to me that I had made the right decision and home is absolutely where I was needed this week. Some times God just does not want us to do something and goes above and beyond to ensure that we do not do it, whether we head Him or not.
I recently finished the entire Old Testament. It took my 595 days to do it, but I finished the Old Testament. You didn’t think I managed the whole Bible, did you?! 😆 Sometimes it was days without any reading and sometimes I read several days in one sitting, but I did it! Sort of. 😉
I have enjoyed The Bible Recap and the themed insight that it gives. I had never intentionally read the Bible in its entirety; I’m sure I have, at the very least, heard the entire Bible during the course of my lifetime in church. Here’s to finishing the New Testament before the end of the year!

“At some point along the way, I had an epiphany. I saw that what my children longed for more than anything else is to belong to a community who would celebrate life with them, who could come around them in times of crisis, and who could celebrate their victories.” Uniquely You, by Sally and Nathan Clarkson

I met Jami Balmet at a conference years ago, while she was pregnant with her firsts and my triplets weren’t quite a year old. She has a wonderful article about large families.
You Are Not a Victim by Heather @ To Sow a Seed was a great read, particularly in a world where so many want to stay in their victimhood.
My long time online friend Carrie Roer has sounded out a FANTASTIC call to pushback on influencer culture.
